We finished the baby's room this past weekend and it turned out PERFECT!! I LOVE IT! :) My mom, sister, mother-in-law & grandma came for the weekend to help. It was so much fun!! I still did a lot of the painting since I always HAVE to be involved. ;) I found this tree online, scanned and copied it to a powerpoint and then we projected it on the wall... EASY! I love the colors... green & brown... can you tell?!

So... I have held back from going into baby clothing stores because I knew I wouldn't be able to resist the urge of buying!! Since we are not finding out the sex... I shouldn't be buying any gender specific clothing... cause it will be a waste of $$!! We had friends over for dinner last weekend... they have a 3 month old and she was wearing the CUTEST little pink monkey outfit! I love monkeys and I was happy to see that they have girl monkey stuff!! So... I went to Gymboree and bought the outfit. :) It's even cuter in person cause it's SO tiny....

The Baby Bump has arrived!

I'm so excited... the baby bump has officially arrived and I think it's growing by the hour! Thank goodness... cause I was just starting to feel like I was fat. :( Here it is...

I am now almost 22 weeks prego... that's 5 1/2 Months! I can't believe it! I feel the little bean kicking all day and I absolutely love it. I spend a lot of time at night saying.... "casey, come here... I think you can feel it!" and then he puts his hand on my lower stomach and we just sit there. Ok, so maybe it's not strong enough for him to feel yet... but I sure can feel it!!! In fact some times, I think the bean is kicking my bladder. I am sure this about to become much more of a problem as it grows! We had out 20 week ultrasound a couple weeks ago and the baby was completely curled up in a ball with it's hands & legs in front of it's face. The tech had me get up move around and cough all to try and make the little one move but the bean was fast asleep. The heart rate was a little lower than it normally is so now I officially think it's a boy.... ? Who knows. We are NOT finding out the sex of the baby and it's absolutely the most exciting thing ever! I've already decorated the room with green... the options are pretty limited when you're not finding out but I really LOVE the Petunia Pickle Botton bedding... it's beautiful!

Anyway... they weren't able to get all the proper measurments from the ultrasound so we have to have another one at our 24 week appointment! YAHOO!! The baby is approximetly 101/2 inches long and weighs around 12oz. :) I keep getting out my ruler at my desk and hold it to my stomach that's a lot of baby in there... and it's only going to get bigger! :)

We celebrated our 1st Anniversary last weekend. I can't believe it's been a year since we were in beautiful Mexico!! Lot's can happen in a year! Happy Anniversary Baby!

So, I think I'm the only person still at work and I am about to crash at my desk. This has been a problem of mine for the past couple months!! I think it's because I get up at 4:30am to workout... YES, I said 4:30am!!! Crazy I know but I love it and if I didn't I will gain & gain & gain weight... and that won't make me happy.

I think I might leave here in a bit. But... I thought I'd share with you my fun new baby purchases!! We ordered a crib on babycenter.com and got a great deal on it. Also, I LOVE this wesite: http://www.babysteals.com/ they have a "steal" of the day and it's always at least 50% off the original price. It's soooo cool! The steal on Friday was Petunia Pickle Bottom crib bedding... and it was GREEN... may fav!! we aren't going to find out the sex of the baby, so I've decided to go with neutral colors. SO... I was SO VERY excited to see that this awesome bedding was the steal on Friday!

So I thought I'd blog a little about my nephews - Jayden, 4 and Carter, almost 2. They are a handful but they are so cute... I just want to squeeze them! :) For those of you who don't know my sister, Jaime and her husband Matt live in Bondurant with their 2 boys. They are done having children, and if you ever get to experience a day with them, you will know why!!! ha! They just built a huge house outside of Bondurant... it's beautiful! So... Carter pulled a naughty stunt last night and wrote on the walls with what looks like a blue crayon!! At leat he was willing to help clean it up!! This picture just makes me laugh!! Auntie Jessie spent hours painting these walls too!!

Poor Jayden had staph infection in his knee last week. Jaime called on their way to the ER. She had just been to the walk-in clinic (2nd time) and they sent her to the ER... because they knew they would more than likely admit him into Blank Children's Hospital... and they did. I of course, met them in the ER and brought Jayden some new Spiderman toys and Jaime some food. :) Jayden was actually doing really well, however I had just missed the inserting of the IV which I guess was horrible. :( Poor little guy!! I was with them when they moved him into his own room and uncle Casey came a bit later to see him. He was really pretty happy... being waited on hand and foot and of course, he was the center of attention!! He ended up staying overnight and had IV antibiotics every 6 hours. I stopped by the next morning on my way to work and his knee already looked 50% better. He ended up getting out that next night. Thank goodness! Longest day EVER!

I am really tired today... the baby must really be growing cause I am about to fall asleep at my desk! Maybe it's making it's fingernails today... or maybe even hair?! I've been eating non-stop to try to keep me awake... this is not good. I feel as if I've gained 10 pounds in the last month... but, really I haven't!!!
I am so excited to be pregnant but want to finally, officially, look pregnant cause right now I just feel fat! :(
I've been working out just like normal, however, this could be part of the problem because I get up at 4:30am!! I feel great right up until 9am... ha! That's when the tiredness sets in. I usually eat an apple with some PB (my fav snack) and then stare at the clock until lunch... which for me is promptly at 11:15! I try to hold out until noon but I just need to eat! Eat, eat, eat... that's all I ever do. I'll be lucky if I don't gain 50 pounds with this baby! Oh well, I guess it's all absolutely worth it!

Catching up and PREGO!!

Ok... so I haven't been very good about blogging. In fact, I kind of forgot I created this blog!! To be honest... I have no clue how to tell people about it?!?! Ha! But, I am blogging anyway... As you can read by the title of this post... I AM PREGNANT!!
Most everyone knows this already... so I guess it's not new news. I am 12 weeks along and starting to show. I wish I would show more!! My pants are all too tight but maternity clothes are mostly too big. :( I am very anxious to actually look prego! :)
We started cleaning out the office & spare bedroom this weekend to get the nursery ready. Obviously I'm a bit ahead of schedule but I am excited! We had an ultrasound this past Monday and it was awesome to actually see the baby and the little heartbeat. They let us listen to it as well. It was beating at 165 beats/minute. Apparently the faster the heartrate the better chance it's a GIRL! I think 165 is pretty fast, right?!?! ha!

So Casey and I were at Jaime's new house by 8:15am on Saturday and painted until 8:30pm!! Yes, lots and lots of work. We were able to get the entire house primed (minus the garage - which is the size of house itself!) but it looked great. Mom and Jaime continued on Sunday and were able to get all the ceilings painted. More poor mother is still out there today painting away... I just talked to her and she has the kitchen painted and was going to start on one of the bathrooms. I'm headed there right after work to help get some more done. The flooring is being layed on Thursday, so we are going to try to have as much done as possible before then so we don't have to worry about being careful. Oh my... we were all absolutely COVERED in paint after Saturday!! It was hilarious... I will try to post some pictures. Casey was using the paint sprayer and accidentally sprayed his face and then he was going to town on a wall and my mom walked into the room and he hit her in the face!! HA!! It was too funny.

Jill and I had a great time at the spa on Sunday. We each got a pedicure and a massage. It was so relaxing!! Jill had never had a massage and only one pedicure. She's probably hooked now!

Hello All!
I've been wanting to start blogging for some time now but didn't think I had anything so exciting happening in my life that anyone would care.... but, HELLO I've got tons going on and I guess this is a great way just to tell what I'm thinking!!

Hmmm... where to start? This summer has been crazy busy and it's over half gone already! We've had quite a few weddings and several more to come. The flooding in May/June really put a damper on boating, so we really haven't done much of that either! We did, however, bring the boat up to Okoboji and hung out with some friends over the 4th of July... we had a great time! We went back to my hometown (Burt) last weekend for the town's annual summer celebration... Burt Days!! It's kinda corney.. but I always have a good time. We had a 4th b-day party for my nephew Jayden and the weather was beautiful! We spent most of the day outside, grilling and just relaxing!

Casey and I are going to help my sister paint her brand new home this weekend. They are trying to cut costs in some areas and painting is one of the.... LUCKY us!! ha! Not really what I want to be doing on a summer weekend, but she's my sister and I do want to help in any way possible. :) I am sure my arms will be sore come Sunday... good thing I have a day at the spa planned with Jill on Sunday!! YAHOO!
